The tradition of praying the Stations of the Cross is given to us as a pilgrimage on the path of Jesus to Good Friday and Easter. We are led in empathy with Christ's suffering (or in Latin 'passio') on his way to death and resurrection.

In the Episcopal tradition, this can be done in front of the images of the stations that adorn the walls of most of our churches or at special stations set up outdoors. For many of us, this has become a familiar tradition and strikes just the right note of pathos for the Lenten season.

St. Benedict's is pleased to offer a virtual Stations of the Cross in recordings of our Lectors reading from Saint Augustine's Prayer Book.
